Agility For a Cause

In 2003, Shirley started raising funds for canine health research with a small, one ring agility trial.  Since then, Agility For a Cause (AFAC) has grown into an effort which includes fabulous raffles and several trials each year.  The AFAC Main Event is a four-day, four- ring, all-breed AKC trial with an entry limit of 1980 runs per day.

AFAC's Mission is to:

  • raise funds to support canine health research
  • increase awareness of the importance of canine health research
  • support sample collections needed for canine health research

To date, AFAC has raised over $100,000 to benefit canine health research.  This would not have been possible without the support of the agility community, dog lovers across the Nation, and, of course, our generous sponsors.

Studies have been funded for:

  • lymphoma
  • osteosarcoma
  • hemangiosarcoma
  • mast cell tumors
